Xiaoyan Wang
Dr. Xiaoyan Wang graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2005 with a Ph.D. in Environmental Science under the guidance of Distinguished Professor Somenath Mitra. She started her career with Long Island Analytical Labs where she conducted and supervised analytical testing of environmental pollutants in soil, water, and air matrices complying with EPA guidelines for about 5 years. After that she joined UCT where she was responsible for developing and improving sample preparation products; developing analytical methods; and publishing application notes for chemical residue analyses in environmental, food safety, clinical, and forensic markets for about 6 years. Currently she works with FMC Corporation, serving as the Analytical PTE for several FMC insecticides; developing and validating analytical methods; performing GLP studies to support product registration; and supporting structure elucidation of new impurities in active ingredients, raw materials, intermediates, and end-use products. Xiaoyan has published 8 research papers and presented more than 30 posters and oral talks in national and international conferences.
