Lisa Powers
Lisa Powers joined DuPont in January 2019 as part of the Dow-DuPont merger and has worked in the field of odor science and preservation since 2013. She received her Bachelor of Science from Western Washington University and her doctorate in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied antimicrobial peptides. She investigatedsmall molecule antibiotic and vitamin biosynthesis during her postdoctoral research at Texas A&M University. Lisa is a member of several industry associations, including the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International, and the American Chemical Society (ACS). She has given more than 50 technical presentations, authored more than 40 publications, and received one U.S. patent.
