Dr. Doug Raynie is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at South Dakota State University. His twenty-two years at SDSU included seven years as Department Head and was preceded by over a decade in the Corporate Research Division at Procter & Gamble. Under Raynie's leadership, South Dakota State was an inaugural signatory to the Green Chemistry Commitment, where he serves on the advisory board. His research interests are in the area of green chemistry and analytical separations, including supercritical fluid processing and deep eutectic solvents. He is the Sample Preparation Perspectives columnist for LC/GC and has over a decade of experience teaching green chemistry at professional conferences and industry.
