About
Chris Siegler

Chris Siegler graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry from Lebanon Valley College in 2001 and later that year joined Lancaster Laboratories as a pharmaceutical raw materials chemist. During his
time at Lancaster Labs, he performed numerous pharmacopeia testing on various raw materials and developed a love for gas chromatography. After spending 4.5 years working in the regulatory environment, he decided to further pursue his GC passion and expand upon his chemometrics work while at LVC by joining the Synovec Research Group at the Univ. of Washington in 2006. After spending many years learning the intricacies of 2D-GC (GCxGC) analyses and helping to develop chemometric data analysis techniques for 3rd order GCxGC/TOFMS data, he graduated with a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in March 2011 and joined the Dow Chemical Company in Freeport TX in May 2011 as a Research Scientist in the Core R&D Analytical Science group. He and his family recently transitioned back to the northeast where he continues his role in the Analytical Science group at Dow’s Collegeville, PA site. During his time at Dow, he has led projects supporting fouling reduction, processoptimization and customer complaints for our manufacturing plants and development of new products and scale-ups in R&D.
