Adventures in SFC: Supercritical Foley Chromatography
with Joe Foley
About This Meeting
2020 CFDV Award Presentation
We waited to honor award winner Joe Foley in person!
Abstract:
Following a personal introduction and acknowledgements, a brief retrospective is presented on selected experiences in professional societies. Current research activities are then summarized, including tandem-column liquid chromatography [1] as an approach to increase the selectivity and resolution in one-dimensional liquid chromatography. Finally, highlights of prior research in chromatography theory and figures of merit, liquid chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, capillary electrophoresis, electrokinetic chromatography, and two-dimensional liquid chromatography are briefly described, with a slight emphasis on quantitative relationships; some stories and lessons learned along the way will be shared.
